The Ukrainian Navy recently received a batch of Combat Boat 90 (CB90) assault boats from Sweden and Norway.
The information comes from the website Militarnyi, which cited the announcement made by Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, last Wednesday (29).
According to him, a complete division has already been formed using these high-speed vessels. He emphasized that the military boats are already in service with the Ukrainian Navy, but now their numbers have increased even further.
“The CB90 boats are among the best in the world and are used in many countries, including NATO members. They are fast, highly maneuverable, and reliable,” the commander noted.
The vessels are designed to perform a wide range of missions, from troop landings and coastal defense to patrolling and protecting civilian navigation.
Additionally, they are equipped to meet all the requirements of modern naval warfare. The Ukrainian crews have already completed training to effectively utilize all their capabilities.
“I personally tested the Combat Boat 90 in action, and I am confident that these vessels will be a valuable asset in the hands of our sailors,” Neizhpapa added.
The delivery of the Combat Boat 90 vessels is one of the outcomes of joint efforts within the framework of the Coalition for Ukraine’s Maritime Capabilities, which was established to strengthen the potential of the Ukrainian Navy.
